In early December, the city hosts Hometown Holidays, its annual holiday festival. This free event begins with the Citizen of the Year flipping the switch to light the Mayor’s Christmas Tree. After welcoming Santa’s arrival via fire truck, carolers provide the soundtrack to enjoy other holiday activities which include photos with Santa, crafts, and plenty of hot chocolate for sipping.
