College-Station, TX
Bryan/College Station
Welcome to Bryan/College Station, located in the heart of the Texas Triangle. These twin cities are situated just North of Houston in the Brazos Valley, with easy access to all four of Texas’ largest metropolitan areas—Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, and San Antonio. Also known as Aggieland, it is the home of Texas A&M University.
While Bryan/College Station is home to many college students, it is also one of the fastest-growing cities in Texas. Whether you’re a young professional, starting a family, or beginning your retirement, BCS is the perfect place to live. D.R. Horton offers new homes at multiple communities across the Bryan/College Station area.
With over 50 parks and 40 miles of trails, the possibilities for outdoor adventures are endless. Enjoy a picnic at Travis Bryan Midtown Park, camping and kayaking at Lake Bryan, or live music at Wolf Pen Creek. Date night at Lake Walk is always a great idea, as is dinner and drinks at Messina Hof Winery.
If history is your thing, BCS is where you want to be. Sign up for the Bryan, Texas History Tour for a self-guided journey through over 20 historical sites and landmarks. Learn the stories from over 150 years ago and how College Station got its name (Need a hint? It has to do with the railroad). Visit the Museum of The American G.I. to appreciate the American men and women who’ve served our country. Head to campus to get a glimpse of the rich history of Texas A&M’s World-Famous Corps of Cadets and Aggie Band, or take a tour through the renowned George Bush Presidential Library & Museum.
Bryan/College Station also takes great pride in its arts and culture scene as well, with Historic Downtown Bryan being named an official Texas Cultural District. It is there, on the “First Friday” of each month you’ll find live music and performances, art demonstrations, interactive events, and plenty of vendors to shop from.
Despite the area’s modest size, the BCS food scene spans a wide range of countries and cultures. This foodie city offers a flood of authentic and unique dining experiences. College Station favorites include 1860 Italia, Fuego Tortilla Grill, and Stella Southern Café. However, a classic College Station experience isn’t complete without dominoes and pitchers at The Dixie Chicken in the Northgate District.
Across from Northgate is where you’ll find the loudest and proudest members of the Fightin’ Texas Aggies. Saturdays are for SEC football at Kyle Field and tailgate in Aggie Park. If the idea of living in a college town makes you nervous, don’t worry; College Station is regarded as one of the friendliest college towns in the country! You’ll probably want to start working on your “Howdy!”
